Later on, those empty spaces in the sculpture are filled up with molten wax. Thus, the molten wax would be contained by the clay outline. Just when the molten wax solidifies a bit, the clay outlines would be removed. With the wax turning into solid, the result would be a sculpture with hollow spaces. With the introduction of hollow spaces, the sculpture would look alive. This is the sculpting technique called the Lost Wax technique. Modern artists have made some changes to improve it.

Bronze is also used to make candle stands, decorative art item, statues, and other outdoor decorations. It is ideal for outdoor objects since it has proven itself durable against drastic weather conditions. Bronze statues usually have themes such as people, animals, and the rest of nature.
